“…There Was A Man…”
“There was a man in the land of Uz whose name was Job; and that man was blameless and upright, and one who feared God [with reverence] and abstained from and turned away from evil [because he honored God].” Job 1:1 (AMP)
Today we start in the book of Job, we all know and the Bible shows us that Job is a man of wealth and prestige, he is also a man of loss and suffering and divine restoration, the scripture says blameless and upright, as it shares, “There was a man in the land of Uz whose name was Job; and that man was blameless and upright, and one who feared God [with reverence] and abstained from and turned away from evil [because he honored God].”
Today as we take a moment in our prayers, many of us are not immune to suffering and many of us are not exempt from loss, but we come to find what matters most, when God declares us blameless and upright, God fearing and we abstain and turn away from evil, as God’s word declare, There was a man!
